As Executive Director, African Institute for Applied Economics, Enugu, from 2003 to 2011, I spearheaded the generation and management of research funds in the sum of N856,367,328.00 from national and international partners. Examples are given as follows:
• 2,200,000 Canadian Dollars from International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Ottawa, under the Think Tank Initiative (TTI), from 1st July 2009 to 30th June 2013.
• US$677,289 from Development Alternatives Inc., under the USAID REFORMS Project spanning 15th July 2005 to 14th June 2009.
• US$99,228 from UNDP for Economic Policy Benchmarking of Nigerian States from 2004 to 2005.
• 80,000 British Pounds from HTSPE under DFID support for National Competitiveness Working Groups Initiative (NCWGI)/Better Business Initiative (BBI) from 2004 to 2005.
• N84,697,200 from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the Business Competitiveness Across Nigerian States (BECANS) project, 2006-2010.
