Born 61 years ago, Eric Chiedum Eboh attained the rank of Professor of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, on the 1st of October 2002, that is, 23 years ago.
Prof. Eboh holds:
- Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Agric.) in Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, July 1985.
- Master of Science (MSc) in Agricultural Economics, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, November 1987.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, February 1991.
He started his academic career on 1st September 1989 as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics, UNN. Since then, Prof. Eboh has accumulated robust academic and research experiences and accomplishments through several competitive international research fellowships and networks. They include:

- Social Science Research Council of America (SSRC), New York.
- African Academy of Sciences (AAS), Nairobi, Kenya.

Through supervision, co-supervision or mentorship, Prof. Eboh has, to date, produced 12 Professors of Agricultural Economics and more than 30 PhDs in Agricultural Economics and other disciplines who are currently Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in universities or employed outside the university.
